Outstanding Faculty Mentor of Graduate Students
The Outstanding Faculty Mentor of Graduate Students Award was created by the Faculty Senate to recognize faculty who exemplify excellence in mentoring graduate students at UNMC. Educating and training graduate students is an integral activity in a research university with faculty mentors exercising significant influence on the current and future performance and attitude of students. As such, the award is intended to recognize exemplary mentors who may act as models for faculty to emulate. Individuals holding an appointment with graduate faculty status and mentoring at least one graduate student at UNMC are eligible to be nominated.
