Improve health and provide care for individuals across the lifespan who have injuries, disabilities, or other health conditions that affect movement and function.

Physical and occupational therapists are movement experts who diagnose and treat individuals with medical or other health-related conditions so they can regain optimal movement and functional activities in their daily lives.

Physical therapists evaluate and provide intervention to prevent injury and reduce or manage pain and other chronic conditions. They also help people achieve fitness goals and lead active lives.

Aiding and expanding care through early diagnosis, treatment, and patient education.

Professionals in the medical sciences provide direct patient care. They are members of surgical teams, use nutrition science to help people stay healthy and treat disease, microscopically evaluate cells to detect disease, and provide education and counsel to help patients understand diagnoses and procedures.
